Important Announcement: Goodbye Authorized Sellers Badge, Hello Hive ID!

CARIBE TABLE LAMP by Lu Cop

We are updating the Hive Seller Guidelines:

Until today, Hive sellers needed to claim and post a pic of their sellers badge whenever selling Hive products. The process to claim and produce a badge was impractical, and posting the picture of the badge was not an elegant solution to say the least.

That is why we are switching to the Hive ID: a simple ID that is easier to claim, post and find.

What is Hive ID?

Hive ID is a unique identifier assigned to each seller in our Hive service. It serves as a "digital ID card" for sellers across various platforms. The ID will be simple to claim and easy to add to your shop.

Why is Hive ID important?

  1. Legitimacy Verification- Hive ID allows other sellers, Hive staff, and designers to verify the legitimacy of a seller.

  2. Easy Identification- It provides a quick way to identify and track sellers across different platforms.

Where Must the Hive ID be Displayed?

Primary Location: Website footer/ Store homepage/ a sellers main online presence page.

The ID does not concern your customers - which is why it does not need to be extremely visible. The important thing is that it is easy to find if searched for.

We recommend you add your Hive ID to your store's footer, ensuring it appears on every page.

If that is not possible than ideally, your Hive ID should be prominently displayed somewhere on your store's homepage. It should be found when using the “Ctrl+F” function on a primary page of a Hive seller. This makes it easily accessible for anyone looking to verify your seller status.

Alternative Locations:

If displaying the Hive ID on your homepage isn't possible due to space constraints or platform limitations, consider these alternatives-

  1. Product Listings: Include your Hive ID in the description of each product you list.

  2. About Us Page: If your store has an "About Us" or similar page, prominently display your Hive ID there.

Footer:

How to Display Your Hive ID?

When displaying your Hive ID, use the following format:

Hive ID: [Your Unique Number]

For example:

Hive ID: 12345 *If you’ve claimed an “Authorized Seller Badge” in the past - use your “Badge ID” as your new Hive ID Number.

Do I have any other obligations as a Hive Seller?

Be sure to follow the seller guidelines for all Hive products you sell. Most importantly - be sure to properly credit the designers.

Switching from the seller badge method to the Hive ID is meant to make the process of verifying Hive sellers far more efficient - this will protect exclusive designs and help the community thrive!Feel free to reach out to Cubee’s support team with any questions you may have.

Thanks!
