Create visuals that convert
Shoot to Sell
Your visuals are your brand’s first handshake with a customer. Strong product photos and videos not only attract clicks but also set the tone for your entire shop. This step is about creating visual assets that sell.

Learn
On Etsy, photos are the very first thing buyers see. Good visuals build trust, while weak ones push buyers away. You don’t need fancy equipment. A few practical principles will help you create product media that feels professional:
Cubee Materials: Go over the file of the products you have selected and search for photos and videos that the designer may have provided. When creating your own media, have these tips in mind:
Backgrounds matter: Use a clean white background for clarity, and a lifestyle background (e.g. desk, shelf, or outdoor setting) to show context.
Lighting is key: Natural light near a window is often enough. Avoid harsh shadows or yellow indoor lighting.
Angles build trust: Capture your product from multiple sides so buyers feel confident they know what they’ll receive.
Movement sells: Short video clips, like an unboxing or a hand interacting with the product, help create connection.

Practice
You’ll produce a bank of high-quality images and videos for each product, ensuring you have multiple options to use across listings, ads, and promotions.
Print each chosen product at customer-ready quality.
Prepare two backgrounds (e.g. a clean white surface and a lifestyle scene).
Photograph each product from at least 5 angles on each background.
Record a short 30–60s unboxing or demo video.
Edit and label each file clearly (e.g. “ProductName_Angle1_WhiteBG.jpg”).
Store them in a dedicated folder for easy access later.
Finish this Challenge
You’re ready to advance when you have a complete set of photos and at least one video for each product, captured in two different settings, and stored in an organised folder. If any product lacks both high-quality stills and video, complete your media work before moving forward.
Remember: Strong visuals don’t just showcase your product, they signal trust and professionalism, which directly impact clicks and conversions.
